Arcadi Ballester (b. 1984, Tarragona) is a visual artist whose practice originates in painting and expands into object and experimental video. His work focuses on the material conditions through which reality is constructed, using repetition and variation as a working method.Recent works incorporate raw materials such as clay, introducing weight, fragility, and resistance into the pictorial surface. His practice engages with imagination and the instability of memory as a generative field for painting. Rather than treating literary references as direct sources, he works through fragments, distortions, and gaps, where recollection and invention merge.Gesture, residue, and transformation remain central elements in this process, shaping a dialogue between image and material. He lives and works in the Maresme (Barcelona).Selected Exhibitions2026 — Fugues i vestigis, Sala Ramon de Capmany, Canet de Mar
2025 —XI Premi de Recerca Pictòrica, Torre Vella, Salou
